I don't know about you guys, but right now, the weather is so iffy (hot, hot, hot, breezy & a little cool, hot, hot, hot) that I've just about committed to daily jeans, loafers and a top that fits the weather. I mean, it's one of my favorite go-to looks anyway, so it's not a huge stretch. Some days, it's just a basic tee with a scarf and jeans.

Let's talk about the pieces in this post. Being petite (5'1"), it's very difficult to find jeans that fit and are the right length. The majority of the time, when I buy expensive, trendy jeans, they are too long or just not the right length for how they are meant to be worn. Don't get me wrong, I buy them anyway if I can find them in the length I want. One place never disappoints in the jeans department, and that's Target. Their short, skinny jeans or jeggings always fit perfectly, as you can see above. If I want them a little shorter than this, I just cuff the ankle once. I have their jeans in dark, light (above), ripped...you name it. Honestly, the majority of the jeans I have gotten at target are less than $30 bucks! You can't beat that!

Now, about these loafers. I have an ongoing love affair with M.Gemi! I really can't deny it. They make the nicest loafers at a price point around $200 (give or take). AND...they are handmade in Italy. Now, being that I do love my Gucci loafers...these are a LOT cheaper. I know these may be a bit pricey, but they are classic and will last year after year. One thing I can tell you about shoes, if you buy quality, you won't need a new pair every year or every five years. I love this color, as it is so versatile, I've mixed it with multiple color combos. Scroll right for more options.

My bag is the Gucci shopper (not the large shopper). I have linked similar bags and some pre-owed  (gently loved) bags that are the same style as this one, but cheaper. The BEST part is that I have linked a duplicate bag in two colors for LESS THAN $100!!!  If you're on a budget, and love the look, get the dupe.  I love this Gucci bag, and it has been a staple in my wardrobe all year. The color is a light beige/rose color, and it goes with everything. My absolute favorite Gucci bags are the ones with the bamboo handles. I'm just drawn to them. Because of the quality of Gucci, I wouldn't be concerned about buying a pre-owed, gently loved bag. If you really want a Gucci bag, but you don't want to pay the new bag price, that's definitely the way to go. Also, check in with one of my favorite shopping sites like Gilt who very often has designer pieces on sale for great discounts, even when they are still full price at other retailers. You can follow your favorite brands and get notified when they are going to be featured. Let me tell you though, if you are looking to buy Gucci on Gilt, know when the sale is, put the time and date on your calendar and get ready to shop as soon as it starts. As you can imagine, pieces and sizes go very quickly. Scroll right in the carousel below to see all options.

My top and belt are linked below with several options. The top is just a navy blue knit top that buttons up the front. I love wearing it with jeans and a tan belt. Casual style is everything to me, and I love my basics.

I hope you all enjoyed my post. I love to hear your thoughts, so please feel free to leave a comment below. Happy weekend to you all!

Now, it's time to link up!

XOXO,

  9. Great suggestions for finding a pre-owned purchase! Also, know the good quality brands (especially for shoes! Cheap heels hurt!) and go treasure hunting at Ross or Goodwill. I've bought $120 shoes for $20 at Ross, and I've found a brand new, tags still on bag at Goodwill, along with a pair of boots that were gently used but became my favorites for 4 years until I wore them to pieces.

    1. Thanks so much! Oh, I love Ross! When I was in law school, we knew what days Ross got their deliveries, and we went frequently! I still have a pair of Cole Haan loafers that I got there years ago for like $30! I agree, quality shoes are so much more comfy than some of the cheap ones out there today! Thanks for visiting!!

    1. I can't even tell you how many pairs of these Target jeans I have. They are so affordable, you can buy a ton. I literally did laundry the other day and had 11 pairs of jeans in the wash! You won't regret getting one of these great Gucci bags. I've loved mine.

  14. I really need to look at targets jeans. I'm a few inches shorter than you (4'10) so finding jeans is such a struggle! My uniform lately has been jeans and whatever shirt fits the weather too!

    1. I think you could wear the Target jeans. To get them to the length you want, you might have to cuff them once. As you can see, I wear them down, but I cuff them often.
