Guys, the week has been super busy, and I'm really worn out and just short on time. I would love to give you all a jam packed post, but that's just not in the cards tonight. Sigh!! Anyway, I do want to give you a little idea of what Fall in the North Georgia Mountains (my second home) looks like. The leaves are just unbelievably beautiful and colorful, and it's honestly one of my very favorite times of the year. I love everything about it, and that includes my wardrobe options, which are almost always super casual.
When I'm in the mountains in the Fall/Winter, I typically wear tons of jeans or leggings, puffer vests, boots and even plaid shirts. Of course, I wear a full jacket when it's really cold. The truth is that even though it stays much colder than Florida, it just doesn't seem like that biting kind of cold...you know the kind I mean...the kind that chills you through and through. Don't get me wrong, it can feel that cold, but it's usually when it's rainy and wet out. I've gotten to where I really love cord leggings because they are super comfortable and tuck nicely into short or tall boots. I've linked up multiple options above and in the carousel below to achieve a similar look (including petite and plus sizes in the leggings). You won't be disappointed in great cord leggings, and the ones I linked are affordable and come in multiple colors!
The rolling fields and Fall colors are every where in the mountains, and the scenery is just so beautiful.
Sometimes, I'm absolutely amazed at the vibrant colors of the leaves, and I snap photos every chance I get! I love just walking into the middle of the woods and see how many pretty things I can snap! Well, that's all for today guys! I promise to try to get a mid-week post up. You all know how it is...life steps in and keeps us busy on the things we must do and not always the things we LOVE to do.
Let's not forget that it's Friday, so it's time for Ginger's Linkup! Last week, you may remember that I mentioned I would select two favorite blog posts from the Linkup. My two favorites are Cheryl and Jennie, and I have posted links to their great posts below. Give them a visit!
Now, let's linkup!

I always love a good puffer vest!

Oh goodness, me too! I have them in too many colors...if you can have TOO many! LOL Thanks for visiting!
DeleteWould you believe I just bought my 4th puffer vest yesterday? I live in the frigid north, but unless I'm spending hours outside (which is highly unlikely) I usually just need a puffer vest to get me from my car to the inside of the building. They are just so much more comfy and practical. Gorgeous photos! Love your outfit!
ReplyDeleteI would believe it. I'm not exactly sure how many I have in my closet in Georgia, but I'm with you...I rarely wear a full puffer coat. I layer a lot in the winter, so a vest works great. Thank you so much for your sweet comments, and thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThese are beautiful pictures! We woke up to snow today. I think it will melt but it is way too early for snow. Thanks so much for the shout out hun!

Oh wow, snow! That's wonderful, but early. I'd just love a little cool weather here. Thanks so much for your sweet comments, and you got the most clicks last week on your link! YAY!
DeleteThank you very much for the shout out, Ginger! I loved the gorgeous photos. I grew up in the mountains of Northeastern Georgia and wonder what area you are in? I miss how gorgeous it is there.
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome Jennie! You got the second most clicks last week! You post great content. The outfit photo is outside the Dillard House in Dillard, Georgia, and so are the leaves. The pasture photo is in Clarkesville, Georgia. My house is in Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia, near Helen (the little Bavarian village). You are so lucky to have grown up in Northeast Georgia. It's unbelievably beautiful, and I'm sad every time I leave to come back to Florida.
DeleteOh, I Love the Dillard House! Fabulous southern food and gorgeous location. Clarkesville is a quaint little town. When we lived in Ga we visited Helen at least once every summer - the boys loved to go tubing. :)
DeleteWe love the Dillard House too and try to go at least once every time we're in town. I takes us 45 minutes to an hour to get there. Clarkesville is adorable, and they have several great little restaurants. Me and my dad were eating at the Attic one day in Clarkesville, and who was sitting at the next table over but Ted Turner! I haven't done the tubing yet in Helen, but my husband keeps mentioning it. He did get me to go zip lining, but only once. LOL
DeleteIn northern Illinois we've gotten a lot of yellow, but not too much red yet! It looks beautiful around there!

Mary, I doubt there's too much red in North Georgia yet. These pics are from last year around the end of October, beginning of November. That's about the time the leaves get really pretty. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Deletelove the vest!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Stephanie, and thanks for visiting!

DeleteJulie, I totally understand about being way too busy and exhausted to post. I'm so way behind everything that I barley have time to sleep. Anyway, North Georgia looks gorgeous. Fall, hasn't hit South Texas yet, so no beautiful leaves and cool air. You look cute as always, I'm especially love the ankle boots. They are fabulous and I want them. Thank you so much for sharing another awesome post!
