The Mountains Love Me~~Or Is It The Other Way Around

Days in the North Georgia Mountains are so relaxing and sweet. I always wish I could stay longer to take it all in. Time here travels at a much slower pace, and I love it. Just getting out and checking in at my usual places is really all I want to do, and soaking up the nature all around is a total stress reliever. Above, I'm outside the Old Sautee Market (the little restaurant next to the Old Sautee Store). They have great sandwiches, soup, ice cream, pastries and coffee--and the Farmer's Cheese--we can't forget the Farmer's Cheese! This little chambray dress is perfect for lazy mountain weekends. I bought it at The Old Sautee Store, here in Sautee, Georgia, and I have linked the same or similar options for my entire outfit below.  The sandals are from Target, (great prices) and I have linked the exact sandals, as well as some similar options.

In the areas surrounding Sautee and Helen, Georgia, there are so many great places to visit...wineries galore, and great restaurants! Yesterday, me and my Honey had after dinner cocktails 🍹and dessert at the Sky Bar of Valhalla Resort Hotel (check it out on Instagram here ). It's a luxury hotel located within the gates of the beautiful Innsbruck Golf Course in Helen, Georgia, and they have a fabulous restaurant. We had sweet potato cheese cake for dessert...yum...photo below!! Of course, my Honey said he didn't want dessert (isn't that what the guys always say...), but then he ate half of mine!! Oh well, that's okay, I love him, so I'll gladly share!

The view from the Sky Bar, which is a lovely place to dine or to just have a nice drink and dessert, is amazing!!

Everyone around here is going nutty over the upcoming eclipse! The schools are even closed! What? I don't remember ever getting a day out of school for something like this! I mean, I'll watch it, but it's not as big of a deal as a designer shoe sale, okay!! Am I right? On a side note, I've been snapping all sorts of pictures to share with you all. Below is a photo of a local Native American mound that is very famous in this area. It's always so beautiful during different times of the day.
